Gregg Harvey owns and operates Gamebird Taxidermy, the award-winning taxidermy studio based in Monroe, Indiana.
More than 25 years ago, Gregg started Gamebird Taxidermy when he was looking for a more artistic waterfowl mount. He bought a book, took a Mallard Drake, and thus Gamebird Taxidermy was born. He concentrated only on waterfowl for several years until his customers began to request more of him. He decided it was time to expand his talents.
In 1991, he went full time into taxidermy, buying more books and learning to mount more animals.
Gregg competed in taxidermy competitions in the late 80s and early 90s, winning several awards including: Best of Show, Best in Category, and People's choice at every level of competition.
Gregg was president of the Indiana Association of Taxidermists in the early 90s and was the main driving force behind the state's certification program which was started to recognize the best taxidermists in the state of Indiana.
Gregg is a certified master taxidermist by the state of Indiana and the international organizations. Gregg is licensed by the state and he is licensed by the US Fish and Wildlife and also by the USDA Aphis.
